Pattye Moore

Pattye L. Moore is a consultant, speaker and author, specializing in leadership development, brand development, marketing and strategic planning. Clients she works with include Sonic, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, VICORP Restaurants and BancFirst. She also works as an Executive Partner with Giant Partners, an Oklahoma City-based firm that focuses on impacting the head and heart of leaders. She also serves on the board of Giant Impact, the Atlanta-based leadership organization founded by author John Maxwell, now managed by Giant Partners.

Moore recently co-authored a book on leadership instincts with Scott Aylward, the former chairman and CEO of Barkley, Evergreen & Partners, Sonic’s advertising agency for 13 years. Their book, Confessions from the Corner Office, will be published by Wiley & Sons in summer 2007.

Moore was the president of Sonic Corp. from January 2002 until October 2004. In that position, she was responsible for company store operations with 500 units, franchise and field services, operations services and marketing and brand development. During her tenure at Sonic, she also served as executive vice president, senior vice president, marketing and brand development and vice president of marketing. Over the 12 years Moore was at Sonic, the company grew from less than $900 million in sales with 1,100 restaurants to over $3 billion in sales and over 3,000 restaurants.

Moore also served on the board of directors for Sonic (NASDAQ: SONC) from January 2000 – January 2006. Moore currently serves on the board of directors of ONEOK, Inc. (NYSE: OKE), a diversified energy company and the fifth largest gas distribution company in the U.S. ONEOK is a Fortune 500 company. She is also a member of the board of directors for QuikTrip Corporation, a privately-held gas and convenience store retailer.

Advertising Age magazine named Moore one of the "100 Top Marketers in the U.S." in its June 26, 2000 issue. In 2002, Nation's Restaurant News named her one of the top 50 women in foodservice. She also received the University of Oklahoma’s Distinguished Alumni award in 2002.

Moore is active in industry and community organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation. She served as chair of the national board of trustees from November 2000 until November 2002. As chair, Moore acted as the chief volunteer leader guiding the health agency's policy and strategic direction for a network of 150 offices and more than 600,000 volunteers and 800 employees nationwide. Moore is still a member of the national board of trustees and is active on several national committees and councils. In November 2006, Moore was awarded the Arthritis Foundation’s Harding Award, the highest national honor awarded to volunteer leaders.

In addition, she is chair of the Board of Visitors of the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma. Moore also serves on the board of trustees for the University of Central Oklahoma Foundation and is an elder at her church.

She has earned her accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America. A journalism/public relations graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Moore graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1979. Moore and her husband Mark have two daughters and live in Edmond, Oklahoma.
